Frequently Asked Questions

Online Eating Disorder Therapy in Los Angeles

  • I am an out-of-network (OON) provider. I can provide what is known as a “Superbill” for you to take back to your insurance company to find out what your plan may cover. Many clients can get a significant portion of this fee reimbursed, of which you can discuss with your insurance provider. Here are some example questions to get the ball rolling:

    * Does my health insurance policy include out-of-network mental health benefits? If yes, what are they?

    * Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If yes, what is it and did I meet it for the year?

    * Does my plan limit how many sessions per policy year I can have and if so, what is the limit?

    * Does my policy allow me to receive services via telehealth?

  • For individual sessions, my fee is $180 for 45-50min. For couples and family work, my rate is $220 for 45-50min.

**There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, that if unable to cancel/ reschedule a session in that time frame, it will result in you being charged the full fee for the missed session.

Additionally, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

  • Getting therapy for your eating disorder or trauma can feel scary. This is why our first session is going to be geared towards building our therapeutic relationship as well as figuring out your personal goals for the work we will do together.

We will be focusing on getting to know each other by getting a general history and me asking a variety of questions. Feel free to get as comfy as you can, and let’s get started!

  • You only need yourself, internet access, a quiet space, and either a smartphone or laptop. A laptop is recommended if doing EMDR sessions.

  • You can call or text me for scheduling or cancelling an appointment. However, I cannot guarantee an immediate reply so I recommend against using this form of contact for crisis situations or emergencies.
